Pretreatment Primer was developed for use on steel, aluminum and galvanized steel surfaces. Application calls for 0.3 maximum dry mils.
Pretreatment Primer insures good adhesion of the topcoat because it chemically bonds to the metal. Pretreatment Primer is to be used where superior adhesion is required. Pretreatment Primer accepts various topcoats including alkyds, epoxies and polyurethanes. Pretreatment Primer was formulated to be non-photo chemically reactive and to be HAPS and TAPS compliant. Additionally, it meets many military specifications by ingredient and performance ratings. Meets SSPC Paint no. 27 and MPI # 80 for performance.
